Synopsis
Kill. Eat. Repeat.
A species of parasitic aliens descends on Earth and quickly infiltrates humanity by entering the brains of vulnerable targets; insatiable beings that gain total control of their host and are capable of transforming themselves to feed on unsuspecting prey. High school student Shinichi Izumi falls victim to one of these parasites, but the creature fails to take over his brain and ends up in his right hand.

Do you guys ever have that one nightmare where you're curling up in bed, turn over, and see Murano staring right into your soul saying: "Are you Izumi-kun? Are you Shinichi Izumi? Are you Izumi Shinichi-kun? Are you really Izumi Shinichi? Are you really Izumi? Are you Shinichi Izumi?"

It took me way too long to finally finish this one, but it's the second anime series I've seen in my budding career as a fan of anime.
So this was pretty dang awesome. I loved how philosophical this show turned out to be despite the premise of parasitic aliens coming to Earth, taking over peoples heads and eating humans. But were they so immoral to do this after all? After the final few episodes I'm convinced that life really is a sacred thing, and what we as human beings deem right and wrong is honestly flimsy in the grand scheme of things. It makes me wonder if there really is other life out there; how would we treat them?…

A beautiful and unforgiving story about tragedy, finding your purpose, overcoming the odds, and discovering your humanity.
The Thing inspired parasitic monsters with the morphing weaponized heads were pretty awesome too.
I can’t believe I ended up feeling emotional for a sentient hand with human lips and finger eyes. Goes to show how good the writing was.

This Japanese anime about parasitic alien invasion, discussions about the value of human life and morality. I wasn't expecting a lesson on philosophy, humanity, reality, life and death, but what a great anime.
I like these types of shows, the concept of weather or not humanity loves the earth or not are really intriguing,
i absolutely loved it! -

A anime series for fans of horror and particularly scifi body horror. Looking like something from John carpenters the thing when the alien parasites take over humans, the series has a cool ongoing story, with our main hero who has a parasite that becomes and transforms his hand becoming kind of like a superhero, having abilities that enables him to battle other parasite affected humans. It's got drama and fight scenes but also explores philosophy, humanity, guilt ,revenge, and morality.
